Aplication for the site to be used for other purposes with Sec of State for Education has sat there for months - I am writing to the Minister to chase!
Progress on future use of the site once this issue has been resolved & principle of retaining part of the site for community use accepted.
As part of the development of the Neighbourhood Plan we expect views on what locally we want to see - these could include older people accommodation, an American style (upmarket) campus of retirement homes, social housing and many other options are on the table for debate.
Target date for agreed solution is 2014.
Good news Richard that something could be moving with regard to the Heathfield site.
