An apology from the BBC

On Friday's BBC Look East programme I was interviewed about a project called NIRAH, unfortunately & unbeknown to me the caption that was broadcast mistakenly described me as a NIRAH Board Member, I am not & never have been.

I simply attend the NIRAH Board meetings as an observer. I have no financial or commercial interest in the proposal at all.

Further to our phone conversation earlier today, I am happy to confirm that we should not have captioned you “NIRAH board member” on our programme on Friday.

I have spoken to the producer involved.

She took the description from a council website but did not notice that you were labelled as an “observer”.

Many apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

…And thanks again for agreeing to be interviewed by us.
