NIRAH

I am slightly bemused why the BBC are running a story on Sunday about the plan to develop an old brick pit in Central Beds into a world class fresh water research, conservation and leisure park.

The plan first emerged around 2005 & I have been involved with the scheme since then, as Deputy Leader & Finance lead at Beds County Council and now from Central Beds as an observer board member at NIRAH.

For some strange reason the MP for Mid Beds is not a fan, but if it does happen it means a world class facility in Bedfordshire and around 2000 jobs - in an old brick pit.

I am a fan & I hope it happens.
